The aromas of dark chocolate, dried figs and pork cracklings will leave you satisfied, but don’t get stuck just inhaling this wine. The palate will give you a delicious full bodied mouthful of dried dark berries and chocolate with a plummy brightness on the finish. Enjoy this wine with pork roasted with shallots and oranges caramelized in the pork fat. Don’t forget the creamy mashed potatoes!
High Road 2015 original release review: "Dark purple. A complex, highly perfumed bouquet displays aromas of ripe black and blue fruits, vanilla, potpourri and cracked pepper, and an exotic Indian spice nuance emerges with air. Impressively concentrated yet energetic on the palate, offering appealingly sweet boysenberry, blackberry and candied violet flavors sharpened by a suggestion of cracked pepper. Spreads out impressively on a wonderfully long, supple finish that shows just a hint of velvety tannins."
