Carignan, 2009

Carignan, 2009

“Brilliant ruby-red. Smoky, expansive scents of dried cherry,
incense, Indian spices and licorice candy, with a suggestion of
vanilla building in the glass. Sweet, seamless, deeply pitched dark fruit flavors are sharpened by a peppery nuance, picking up a floral note on the back half. Closes sweet, smoky and spicy, with excellent persistence and subtle tannins. This wild, distinctive wine was
made with 50% whole clusters and aged in new Hungarian oak for five years.”
