Rich and lush without being fat… Pure yet integrated tannins that provide a pure, long finish. Fermented 75% whole cluster. Aged 18 mo.’s in New French, 500 Liter puncheons, basket pressed, racked once off gross lees. It is good now, but will open up a lot as it evolves over 8-10 years.
Nose: Blackberries, white pepper, nutmeg, salt water, fennel.
Palate: Boysenberries, Asian spices, sea salt carmels, new saddle leather, with hints of cured meats and blue violets.
